Web widgets turn lookers into bookers
THE English Riviera Tourism Company has invested in the development of the latest web site widget technology for local businesses to use free of charge on their own web sites.
This latest move in the ERTC's increasingly impressive e-marketing programme has been made after chief executive Carolyn Custerson recognised the increasing popularity of the what's on calendar and things to do section with visitors to the resort's official tourism website www.eng lishriviera.co.uk

This new cutting edge destination marketing technology allows potential visitors to quickly access up-to-date information about the English Riviera through the use of coded widget iframes conveniently embedded into local tourism businesses' web sites.
High quality destination information is valued more and more as an important part of the holidaymaker's pre-departure booking process.

The ERTC believes convenient access to comprehensive and attractively presented tourist information via the new and free to use ERTC widget iframes will help visitors to choose the English Riviera rather than elsewhere, and to turn lookers into bookers.
Three handy widgets are now available for any business on the English Riviera to embed on their own sites free of charge. These include: what's on, things to do and where to stay. These can all be customised and embedded singly or together through the use of coding on any page of any web site.
Chris Hart, as chairman of the ERTC and managing partner of Wollen Michelmore LLP, has ensured that his firm is one of the first businesses locally to take advantage of this new technology.
Chris said: "It's so important for all businesses on the English Riviera to engage with the new co-ordinated approach to events and these new widgets provide an easy and free way to do just that. It is in all of our interests, whatever our sector, to promote the resort and the activities within it.
"This is also a very effective way for the ERTC to further develop its partnership working with our promotional partners and the wider business community. I hope that as many businesses as possible take the opportunity to put the widgets on their websites."
