Wedding just what doc ordered
IT was a double celebration for bride Juliet Bailey when she married Nicholas Long.
Just 24 hours after becoming a doctor of medicine, she was saying her marriage vows in St Mary the Virgin Church, Woodleigh, in the South Hams.
Juliet, who is the daughter of Valérie and Shaun Bailey, of Torquay, and of dual French/English nationality, was attended by French and English bridesmaids Sarah Eberhard, Zoë Bailey and Romane Trapier.
Bridegroom Nicholas Long, son of Dr Clive Long of Kingsteignton and Mrs Barbara Long of Bishopsteignton, is a teacher of science at South Dartmoor College after studying at Torquay Boys' Grammar School, Cardiff and Exeter universities.

Juliet attended the Torquay Girls' Grammar School and the couple met on the grammar schools' campus — known as the paddock — in 2006 and married at the church where the bridegroom was baptised as a baby.
A reception and overnight celebrations were held at Buckland-Tout-Saints for which the sun shone for the first time in weeks.
