STARS from the five-star rated West End Now will be performing at the South Devon and English Riviera Tourism and Hospitality Awards.

The production (pictured), which ends on its usual home at the Babbacombe Theatre today, will be one of the highlights of the night.

They will be performing a montage from Les Miserables and the line-up includes young Lily Laight, fresh from her performances in Matilda in the West End.

The award ceremony takes place on Friday, September 28, at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.

Two of the county's funniest men will be entertaining the audience through the night — Peter Richardson, actor, comedian, director and screenwriter, and David Fitzgerald from BBC Devon.

Peter is best known for founding the The Comic Strip troupe of performers, which showcased his double act with Nigel Planer and launched the careers of French amd Saunders, Rik Mayall, Adrian Edmondson and Alexei Sayle.

The host for the evening, 'Fitz' has had a fascinating broadcasting career from commercial radio to television working at TSW, Anglia Television, Sky News and latterly BBC Devon.

And the real stars of the evening are those local companies who have been selected as finalists for the 14 award categories.

More than 250 people are expected at the ceremony to both recognise and celebrate local tourism business success.
