Wheel Power to victory to Place Palace bottom

Wheel Power FC face a much tougher task this weekend when they take on League leaders Old Brewery FC in the 'match of the season so far'. Every player in the team - including goalkeeper Adam Simpson - scored in Power's 18-0 win over Palace Place Boys. Palace flew the white flag even before kick off as they only managed to muster 8 of their troops, but to be fair, this side would scare off most teams; Dan Broadway (3 goals) Ryan Hare (2) Carl Cliff Brown (2) Dave Worthington (2) Chris Srdinko (2) Kurtley Hassall, Robbie Bowker, Mike Srdinko, Sheridan Gagg, Richie Baker, Dalien Dickerson and Simpson. Old Brewery have their own big guns however, so Sunday's showdown at Quinta should be a tasty affair. Palace Place also have a showdown at Whiterock, with Moon FC, as both sides currently prop up the table with 'nil points'.

Indian Ocean FC benefited from a ground switch in their rescheduled Devon Sunday Supplementary Cup tie with Torbay Wanderers FC on Paignton Community College's 3g pitch. Wanderers searched in vain for a suitable ground after a double washout at the original venue Cricketfield Road, but were eventually forced to concede home advantage. Darren Munday, Dan Bernard, Pete Andrews and Adam Hackett netted for Ocean in a comfortable 4-1 win to see them through to the area final against Dog and Duck FC in February. Before that though, Ocean have a Bill Matthews Cup preliminary round tie with Plough Inn FC at Buckland and Milber, while Wanderers' travels take them to King George V playing fields for a league encounter with Spartan FC.
