POLICE have issued a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to following an unprovoked nightclub assault.

The victim, a man in his early 20s, suffered a broken jaw after he was punched in the face.

The picture was taken after an assault in the Enigma Night Club in Newton Abbot.

Police are trying to trace this man who was captured on CCTV.

"We believe he may be able to assist us in our investigation," a police spokesman said.

"Anyone who either recognises this man or who witnessed the incident are asked to contact police on 101 quoting police reference JN/12/2077 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."

The attack happened on Sunday July 29, but the police appeal for witnesses was not released until this week.
