PICTURES: Woman diver rescued after being trapped in Torquay wreck
TORBAY'S all-weather lifeboat joined the Coastguard helicopter from Portland to rescue a female diver who had got into difficulty off Torquay on Tuesday morning.
The lifeboat was launched from its Brixham base at 11.10am, and joined the helicopter at the scene of the incident roughly four miles off Hope's Nose.
Conditions were said to be foggy at the time.
It is understood that the female diver had become trapped in a wreck. After being freed by her colleagues, at least one of the party came to the surface too quickly.
