Work starts on store
WORK has started on a new Asda store in Paignton.
The supermarket giant has taken over the former Focus DIY store off Brixham Road and work has begun to convert the disused site into a 17,000 sq ft store (pictured).

Asda, which is owned by US firm Wal-Mart, said it intended to open its new Torbay store in the summer.
It is understood the supermarket could create 150 jobs.

The Asda store will be the second to be created in the Bay after the chain bought and refitted the former Focus store on Newton Road in Torquay.
