Ynysowen choir's return trip
THE Ynysowen Male Choir from Aberfan, South Wales are returning to Torquay on Saturday.
The choir are joining Riviera Concert Brass in a concert in aid of Cancer Research UK.

BACK AGAIN: The Ynysowen Male Choir from Aberfan, South Wales are returning to Torquay on Saturday when they are joining Riviera Concert Brass in a charity concert in aid of Cancer Research UK
Formed in 1968 with only 11 choristers, their enthusiasm generated a great deal of interest in Aberfan resulting in a membership of more than 40 choristers with a repertoire of more than 200 musical pieces.
Musical Director Jennifer Jones MBE has been with the choir since 1992, while accompanist Sheryl Kennedy joined the choir in 2000.

The choir have toured extensively, have performed before the Queen, appeared several times on television , toured in the UK and links with Gutersloh in Germany have resulted in several tours and reciprocal visits as well as touring Ireland, Spain and France.
The concert begins at 7pm. There will be a raffle and interval refreshments, and tickets will be available on the door.
