Youngsters take to stage for musical
BUDDING talent from Westlands School are taking to the stage next week for their production of Guys and Dolls.
Set in downtown New York in the 1940s, the show revolves around the lives and loves of a group of gamblers, dancing girls and missionaries.
The romantic comedy features great musical numbers including Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat and Luck Be A Lady.
The 30-strong cast of 11 to 19 year olds includes several winners of the Torbay Schools Festival of Performing Arts.
They have been working on it since last October.
Directed and choreographed by the team behind their successful 2007 production of Fame, Westlands' production of Guys and Dolls promises to be an even bigger and better.
The show opens on Monday and runs until Friday.
