Serious accident completely closes A380 in Torquay
Police have closed off the A380 road between the roundabouts at Kerswell Gardens and Gallows Gate in Torquay following a serious accident early this morning.
At approximately 5am a Ford Focus crashed on the road. The male driver of the Focus saloon was taken to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, with serious injuries. No other persons or vehicles are believed to have been involved in the incident.

Road closures were put in place between the roundabouts to let officers investigate the scene.
According to Devon & Cornwall Police, they will shortly be finished with the scene, but, due to concerns over structural damage to the road, it will not be re-opened until Highways has conducted a full assessment.
