“ The South Devon Railway is a firm favourite with all generations of our family, from those who like to reminisce about travelling on steam trains to the little ones who are thrilled to see 'Thomas' in real life! The trains run between Totnes and Buckfastleigh on weekends and throughout the summer, and there are lots of other attractions to enjoy along the way, including the otters and butterflies at Buckfastleigh and the rare breeds farm at Totnes. Refreshments are available at both ends of the line, and there's a cafe and picnic area at Buckfastleigh, along with a shop, museum, play area and miniature railway. Plenty to keep everyone happy all day – highly recommended for ages 0-100+ – we've seen plenty of contented babies, and actually met a 104-year-old lady on one of the trains at Christmas! ”
