Five car crash on the A38 at Ashburton
FIREFIGHTERS were called to help ambulance personnel after a five-car crash at Ashburton last night.
The crash happened at 6.50pm on the Plymouth-bound side of the A38 near Pear Tree Cross.
Police alerted the fire service with reports that there was a person trapped in one of the cars.
Three appliances were sent from Ashburton, Buckfastleigh and Bovey Tracy.
