“I agree with your general premise FrankEinstein, but you are wrong on your answer to Tony it is not the party with the most votes that wins general elections. Its the party that returns the most MPs very often with a minority of the popular vote. Seems bad but its better than the alternative proportional systems like that have had in places such as Italy.”

“No i ment im confused in your statement. I read it as tho you dont like any party?
I thought you supports lib dems previously. You said lib dems have gone back on there words and no one would vote for them, then you said labour made a mess of it and then you said lets call a general election as the Torys would win. Well newsflash...The torys ARE in power unless the Prime-minister is not a tory?
Also how would they win when they didnt win last time? Hence the coalition.. You only have to look at history to show what Torys have done every single time they get into power and personally i think the only reason labour didnt win was everyone hated Gordon brown and would rather vote in a fish than him.”

“Tony, the Tories would win outright this time because there is no real opposition now, it has all crumbled away and they have proved over the last two years that they can govern. We need to start going around every drug infested hostel in Torquay and saying 'bring out your dead' the welfare system is being reformed.”

“Einstein by name, but not, it seems, by nature.
Ivanoski is right - it is you who is confused Frank - it is perfectly possible for the party with the most votes to lose an election as it does not mean that they neccessarily returned the most MPs.
In the 1951 election, theConservatives won 26 more seats than theLabour Party despite having received about 250,000 fewer votes.”

“If I remember rightly, Frankenstein created an unintelligent monster from the spare parts bin, who was a danger to those around him.
Funnily enough that seems to be an entirely apt description of the current tory party, along with their badly bodged and cobbled together "policies".
I for one, hold little trust in the accuracy of the pollsters, or the fickleness of the electorate. I believe that when people come to realise exactly what a tory government means they will return to their senses and reject them as they did with Thatcher.
I don't think that they will be forgiven for the sale of the NHS, the destruction of the Welfare State, the erosion of the jobs market, or their enforcement of a drastic reduction in the standard of living of those actually "fortunate" enough to be in work.”

“The electorate didn't get rid of Maggie Thatcher, her own party let her go gracefully. The electorate couldn't get enough of her and voted her in every time. New Labour have been selling the NHS off for the last 12 years. You can trust Cameron, he does what he says, unlike the pledge signing Lib Dems. When the workers of this country (the true working class) get rid of the burden of the workshy scroungers we will all be better off.”

“News flash guys... Opinion polls on skynews have said Labour are ahead of the Tories. 38%.
Also today the Government announced the borrowing has gone up to 1 Trillion from 886billion in the past 12 months. They cant blame labour for that as the Torie MP has been in power a few years now and its time to stop saying every time they open there mouth "what we inherited from the last government" I think the time to blame others have past and time they got on with it.
As i said, people couldn't stand Gordon brown so ticked "Tory" to spite him. An That's why they got it power.. Remember they didnt win with a clear lead so that in its elf proves the population didnt want a tory to win a landslide vote.”

“"""""BRING ON THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION - THE SOONER THE BETTER. It must be time for the Tories to call a general election. The Lib Dems have proved to be a good little puppy dog and have gone back on just about every promise they ever made, even signed pledges, no one would vote for them. The Labour Party who caused all this mess in the first place are unelectable with little brother in charge. The Tories would get in with a huge majority so what are they waiting for. Let's start a radical program of Benefit reform and overhaul the criminal justice system. It's what the country is crying out for.""""
We had 18 years of right wing Tory Government who did actually began the mess we are in and not New Labour, who merely continued it.
What you are asking for is what we have now, a right wing Tory government in power, with Nick Clegg in his Parliamentary seat.
As far as welfare state scrounging is concerned, I refuse to respond constructivelly to such a bigoted statement.”
