Violinist's musical showcase

STUDENTS at Coombeshead College, Newton Abbot, were treated to a showcase of world music when Anup Kumar Biswas visited the school.

The musician performed some of his own work and ran two workshops for students.

Anup is a world-famous cellist who has played in front of royalty. Most of his repertoire is western classical music and Indian music.

The event was described as a 'great experience' for teachers and students by a school spokesman.
