Show ended too soon

THIS was such a good show that I didn't want it to end.
Lemar has come a long way since finishing third on TV's Fame Academy in 2002.
Now he is an accomplished performer who never fails to draw big crowds of appreciative fans wherever he appears.
Plymouth gave the soul-soaked R&B man a warm reception, and everyone left pleased with what they saw and heard.
There was no good reason for seats at this gig as the masses were soon on their feet. Very few stayed on their backsides.
The glittering stage was crowded with backing singers, dancers and enough instruments to equip an orchestra.
We were treated to a good mix of quick and slow numbers, among them his latest single Weight of the World and a brilliant interpretation of the classic Sex on Fire by the Kings of Leon.
The trouble with such a great show is that it always ends sooner than it should.
And the support acts made sure the proceedings didn't drag.
The Score, from Los Angeles, were entertaining enough with their distinctive brand of soul, pop and funk, giving us an excellent rendition of The Police's old hit Roxanne.
Their single We Got You certainly got us.
JLS, much liked by poster-buying teenage girls, were also on form. One young fan was so pleased by their show she flung her knickers in their direction.
Their own version of Rihanna's Umbrella was brolly good as was Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls. And the new single, Mary, was an Easter treat which went down well.
