Emma at author's home

Friday, July 03, 2009, 09:53

WALTZ your way through picnics, parties and posh frocks as Jane Austen's classic Emma comes to Agatha Christie's Greenway on Sunday.

The story follows a clever, rich, bored and 'slightly spoiled' young woman who throws herself into the perils of mis-matchmaking and gets it hopelessly wrong.

The interactive production by Heartbreak includes live music and dance.

Belinda Smith, visitor services manager at Greenway, said: "This should absolutely be one of the most stunning settings for a production of Emma.

"It will be a lovely event for a summer evening and tickets are selling extremely well."

Gates open at 6pm and guests are invited to bring a picnic, tables and low-backed chairs.
