Memories of Muse for sale

SPECIAL memorabilia from Muse's South Devon concerts has been donated to the Teignmouth Players.

Mugs, T-shirts and limited posters were given to the theatre group by the rock trio after their September Seaside Rendezvous gigs in the resort.

Now the items will be raffled and auctioned off to help raise money for the Players who are the leaseholders of the Carlton Theatre.

Rodney Bowen, Players member, said: "To show their appreciation of the help given by the Teignmouth Players, Muse have donated a number of special posters and other memorabilia designed for their Teignmouth concerts.

"They include one poster specially framed for the occasion. The Players think it is important that these valuable posters and other items should be available to local people."

The memorabilia, including mugs, three Seaside Rendezvous gig T-shirts, an embossed poster and the framed print will go on display at the Carlton Theatre on Thursday.

All items are open to bidding, except the framed poster which will be raffled off at a performance by rock group Goliath.

People can make their bids up until the Goliath in Concert event, where the results will be revealed.

Tickets for Goliath are now available and cost £6 in advance.

Rodney urged: "We were involved in helping with the concerts and the items were donated as thanks by the organisers, Muse.

"For any Muse fans or anyone else who would like a memento of the occasion this is a great chance to obtain one."
