Friday 8 February

Appealing to your taste buds and your grey matter, our new Sound Bites evenings offer food for thought and seasonal delights for the palate, throughout the year. For our opening event we are delighted to be welcoming Devon-born Debra Searle, MBE.

A professional adventurer, author and BBC presenter, Debra first hit the headlines when she set out to row across the Atlantic with her husband. Unfortunately he had to be rescued so Debra, a novice rower, continued alone and rowed 3000 miles from Tenerife to Barbados. It should have taken them six weeks but, to achieve her goal, Debra ended up spending 3 ½ months at sea alone, encountering 30' waves, sharks, and force 8 squalls in a 23 feet plywood boat.

The Bistro, 7pm. £10, including supper. Hannahs at Seale-Hayne, (off the Newton Abbot to Ashburton Road), Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 6NQ.

Booking essential. Please call 01626 325800 or email enquiries@hannahssealehayne.com
