JAG team support the boss

Tuesday, September 02, 2008, 08:52

EMPLOYEES at the JAG Orange store in Newton Abbot's Queen Street swapped white shirts and ties for Team JAG race kits in support of JAG's managing director John George's appearance in the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship.

George, who founded the company in Par, Cornwall, in 1991, competes in his own Team JAG Honda Integra Type R.

To mark his involvement and 50 years of the BTCC, JAG's Newton Abbot branch is offering a set of free alloy wheels worth £300 with selected new deals.

To date George has raced in 79 BTCC races having made his debut at Thruxton in April 2004. He has yet to score a podium finished but has amassed eight career points.

JAG is now the UK's third largest independent mobile phone retailer and George, a keen aviator, commutes each day from his home in Guernsey to Peranporth in his own turbo prop aeroplane. The airport, which he owns and operates, is adjacent to JAG's head office.
