Top marks for TLH staff
TLH Leisure Resort have run their own management level food safety award in-house for the first time.
Seven members of the kitchen and restaurant management team attended the three-day course run by the group's own training officer, Jenny Shipton.
She said: "I was a bit nervous to begin with as, although I am a qualified food hygiene trainer, this is the first time I have run a Level 3 management course.
"I needn't have worried though as the training went very well and everyone got involved."
The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health course covered all aspects of supervising food safety through all stages of handling, followed by a two-hour exam.
All the staff achieved merits, a testament to their hard work and commitment, and now hold Level 3 awards in Supervising Food Safety in Catering.
Jenny added: "It's great we can run these courses ourselves and make them relevant to our staff and our business."

“Well I have to say how proud I am of this notice as the trainer is my daughter Jenny Shipton.
She is always looking to improve the training she delivers and this is a testament to her training prowess and the commitment she shows on every course she runs.”
