Three months of resurfacing roads ahead
A THREE-MONTH programme of road resurfacing works will cause traffic delays in Torbay, the council has warned.
Roads in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham will be resurfaced between Monday and December 13.
Torbay Council's member for transport, Cllr Robert Excell, said: "This important work, costing about £750,000, forms part of our continuing investment in the Bay's highway network.
"Regrettably, work of this nature does require some road closures and diversions, which will be clearly signed.

“Let me guess, a half baked patch up with tar and chippings, lethal for bikes and bad news for cars as no matter how slowly you go, some idiot will be coming too fast the other way and machine gun your car with them. Then there's trying to get the tar off that's flicked up and glued itself to the side of the car...
PLEASE do the job properly with Tarmac, it has to be cheaper than constantly patching up the haphazard tar and chippings method surely?”
