This is how they rock in the Appalachians... Dixie style
The four-piece band play a mixture of cover versions of hard rock classics by AC/DC and their own material.
The band sold more than 200,000 copies of their first album A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC and appeared on every major morning radio show in the US and Australia.
Subsequent albums have been even more successful including the 2008 release No Covers.
This band of acoustic musicians grew up playing the traditional music of their forefathers in the heart of Appalachia.
One day a stranger passing though the area crashed his car into a stately old oak tree at Devil's Elbow Curve.
Under the back seat of his car, the band, who were boys at the time, found some old black vinyl records.
The records in the car were by the band AC/DC and the boys recorded an album of the songs in their own mountain bluegrass style with fiddle, mandolin and the banjo.
The rest is history.
Hayseed Dixie are performing at Exeter Phoenix on Monday, July 20. Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £14 and can be purchased from the box office on 01392 667080.
