Weekend for those people who just love their sheds
Jack's Patch Nursery and Garden Centre, in Newton Road, Bishopsteignton, is hosting a Shed Weekend tomorrow and Sunday having launched a competition last month for people who love their sheds.
Phil Newton, manager of the garden centre, said: "Our Shed Weekend links in with National Shed Week which started on Monday. Sheds aren't just for old pots and gardening tools.
"Some people use them for train sets, others convert them into offices and writers and artists use them as tranquil havens."
The team at the garden centre asked people from all over Devon to enter the competition by taking in a photograph of their garden shed. The photographs will go on show from tomorrow until July 19.
The garden centre team will select the competition winner, the photograph they feel illustrates the most interesting shed, on Monday, July 20, and contact the winner. The winning entrant will receive a shed solar light worth £19.99 donated by Luxform.
Phil added: "During Shed Weekend only, we will also be offering people who buy a shed a free potting table, subject to availability and while stocks last."
