Woman swimmer, 71, rescued after rocks injury
The woman, from Brixham, was thrown a life ring and dragged from the water by her boyfriend.
Coastguards were alerted at 2pm and Torbay's inshore lifeboat was sent to pick her up from the rocks.
She was taken to the shore at Goodrington beach where waiting paramedics were on hand to treat her injuries, which were said to be minor.
The incident was one of many dealt with by coastguards at their Brixham control room as people enjoyed good weather on the last day of Summer.
Dartmouth coastguard and lifeboat crews helped a 59-year-old woman who fell over on board a boat in Start Bay at midday.
She was taken to hospital with back injuries.
The woman, from Cheshire, was injured when her vessel Mr Humphries hit a wave on Sunday morning.
The vessel was escorted into Dartmouth by the inshore lifeboat and handed.
She was taken by ambulance to Torbay Hospital.
Teignmouth RNLI Inshore Lifeboat was launched to a two person kayak in difficulty during a race off Teignmouth.
The kayak had problems due to the tide but needed no assistance from the lifeboat.
The Teignmouth lifeboat was also on standby with reports of a kite surfer in possible difficulty at the entrance to the River Teign. The kite-surfer made it to shore unaided.
Plymouth's lifeboat and ambulance crews were sent to Bigbury Bay just after 1pm after a diver needed help after making a rapid ascent.
He had been diving in the water off the South Hams village from the dive boat Fintan.
He was transferred to Plymouth lifeboat and taken to a waiting ambulance which took him to the diving diseases research facility at Plymouth.
