It's seconds out for round two!

TORQUAY are set to renew hostilities with Sandford tomorrow looking for another positive result to leaver them further away from the drop zone.

Sandford were bowled out for 82 at Torquay on the opening day of the season and went on to lose by eight wickets. Skipper Adrian Small (pictured) publicly 'bigged' his side up ahead of the game – and was made to eat his words afterwards.

In the weeks since they first met, a steady stream of jibes has been passing between the two clubs through the medium of web sites such as Facebook and YouTube. A digital recording of Small getting out proved extremely popular with Torquay followers.

Small and Torquay captain Justin Yau have spoken on the phone in an attempt to bury the hatchet, but it's clear the rematch will be no place for the faint-hearted.

Said Yau: "We have been looking forward to this game ever since the first one and will be more up for it than any other this season.

"We are running into form at just the right time for games Sandford, Bradninch and Plymouth, who are all at our end of the table.

"It's not just one or two players who are in form, several are all at the same time.

"Matt Thompson is batting brilliantly, Nick Watkin is getting consistent runs, Usman Malvi is great with bat and ball and James Woodroff bowled one of the best Premier spells I have ever seen when we played Exeter last week.

"We are buzzing and can't wait for the game to start."

Sandford aren't saying anything about their team plans in advance. The likelihood is that spinner Richard Coupe will be back from holiday and will play ahead of Ryan Glass.
