£10,000 gives charity has something to celebrate
A NEWTON Abbot-based charity is celebrating a new grant which means it can expand.
Sirona Therapeutic Horsemanship has been given £10,000 from The Tudor Trust, which supports community-led groups that work for positive change in people's lives.
Sirona director Hannah Burgon said the money would be used to pay salaries over the year.
She said: "We are absolutely thrilled as it means Sirona can now provide more sessions of therapeutic horsemanship to young people and adults with support needs."

As well as the grant, the Tudor Trust is also offering business support.
The funding means Sirona can now move towards offering therapeutic and educational horsemanship sessions five days a week.
Hannah added: "Working with horses in a therapeutic and educational setting benefits people by increasing their self-confidence and self-esteem.
"People also learn new skills and gain greater self-awareness."
The expansion means Sirona, based at Seale Hayne is in need of a new horse over 14.2hh to join the team.
The company is also looking for more volunteers to help with further fundraising and marketing.
