£48,000 bus gift to Torquay school
YOUTH cricket and disability charity The Lord's Taverners visited a Torquay school to hand over the keys for a new £48,000 minibus.
Pupils at Combe Pafford School received the new wheelchair-accessible bus from Rosemary Longfield, chairman of the charity in Devon and Cornwall, who visited the school.
Combe Pafford is a specialist business and enterprise school that caters for 170 pupils aged seven to 16 years with moderate learning difficulties, physical difficulties and autism.
The new 17-seat minibus will change the lives of the youngsters, enabling them to take advantage of the best possible opportunities and educational and life experiences on offer in the local area.

The Lord's Taverners has vowed to donate more than £3million this year to help give young people, particularly those with special needs, a sporting chance.
The charity donates one minibus every 10 days to organisations such as Combe Pafford School and presented its landmark 1,000th minibus last month.
