A roaring start for Rob at Mallory Park
TORQUAY biker Rob Lindsay trimmed six seconds off his best ever lap time after taking his new Suzuki GSXR 1000 for its first spin at Mallory Park.
Lindsay was opening his season at the first round of the 2010 East Midlands Racing Association series, racing in the Ducati Coventry JHP Championship.

The new bike had a few teething problems, so the 44-year-old's best finish was a ninth, but he's looking to build on that in future rounds, alongside several NG Road Racing Championship appearances.
Fellow Torquay rider Andy Lang, meanwhile, will start his NG series at one of Britain's finest motorcycle circuits this weekend.
Brands Hatch is one of six British Superbike Championship tracks named in this year's NG calendar, and it hosts the series opener on March 20 and 21.
Lang will again be riding his Kawasaki ZX10R in the 15-round championship.
Meanwhile, Lindsay will definitely look the part after recently taking delivery of a second new bike — a Suzuki with full Men & Motors racing livery first ridden by Phil Bevan in 2004, notably at the Macau GP.
Newton Abbot company Paintwork Plastics Interiors (PPI) will also be helping out with the bikes' designs, as will Lang's Sign Shop in Torre.
When he's not riding, Lindsay is also a sports therapist and among his patients is the BBC's DIY SOS star Julian Perryman — he is lending his support too.
Any other companies interested in helping sponsor the riders this season can contact Lindsay on 07791 685010.
