“Although charging the offender for the full cost of their crime makes sense if you are waiting for a conviction in court don't hold your breath. The only people who get any financial benefits from our legal system are the army of middle class judges and their son and daughter lawyers.”

“There should be a £25 charge to call out the police, this charge would be recovered from the offender by the caller on conviction in court, or in the case of burglary or road traffic incident payable by the insurance companies, this makes a lot more sense than having an ambulance call out charge and the money raised could pay the wages of the police farce and fire service with the surplus employing thousands more police officers and firemen.”

“It's not really simple maths as you need to look at probabilities and you need the figures regarding use. You also need to take into consideration the upgrading of equipment and any recent changes to codes of practice. Simple spelling however means you sometimes need to use 'their' instead of 'there' so I'd start on that before you move on to maths.”

“If there consultation is anything like the one they did about cutting crew to Torbays aerial machine it'll be pretty pointless the public having there say. As I seem to recall we the public opposed the cuts then due to the number of hotels in the bay and the fire service went ahead and carried out the cuts anyway! So I wonder if it'll be different this time? From what I've read of there corporate plan that is available for anyone to read they are very vague on a lot of issues and it will put the public in the bay at greater risk!! Form having two fire engines turn up in 10 minutes to just one and no answer to when the next will arrive apart from vague estimates, it's simple math to realise that we're in more risk if these cuts go ahead. Also they seem very eager to down grade the frontline but there cooperate plan as they call it hardly mentions managers and other areas of the service, perhaps they should look there first as in most public sector organisations that seems to be where the money goes on there somewhat large salaries!
But I'd urge people to read there plan and if you feel the same as me, which is someone who pays there taxes and expects a certain level emergency service rather than the millions the governments of any party seem to find to spend on other things rather than looking after hard working people living here, then I suggest opposing these cuts!!”
