Born down the road in Kingston-upon-Thames, Hutchinson was returning to his roots after a career which started as a trainee at Fulham.
During three-and-a-half years at Dundee, he made more than 30 appearances, most of them in the SPL, and not many Conference players have the experience of facing Celtic and Rangers away in front of 50,000 crowds.
Still only 26, Hutchinson is a consistent, combative defender, who must also be watched at attacking set-pieces.
