'We could easily have lost this'
"Well, we could easily have lost, and I'm not surprised that Rushden feel a little hard done by.
"They created more chances than we did.
"But it was a bit like our game against Kidderminster, although we had more chances than Kidderminster did.
"We played much better in the second half though.
"I thought Hargreaves was brilliant in midfield.
"I would have been in favour of resting him for this match – he's on four bookings and we've got some big games coming up.
"But now I'm glad that Paul Buckle kept him in the side.
"I also thought that Lee Hodges played really well in the defence – he's been a revelation in the middle there.
"And Wroe is looking stronger all the time in the midfield.
"But it wasn't a good performance overall, and I think a stronger team than Rushden would have punished us.
"It was a good job we weren't playing Burton or one of the top teams in the first half.
"If we're going to be involved in the play-offs, I'm not sure how far we want to go in the Trophy.
"We don't really want last year all over again.
"I think the Wrexham match is much more important.
"Also, it will be better for everyone if it's played next Saturday – Thursday night is a pain for a lot of people."
